Sarah is currently a junior at New Oxford High School, having been involved with Student Council since 2005. She has served as class president three consecutive times, and is currently an Executive Board Vice President at New Oxford. Sarah won the Dale Hawley Award from PASC for their Outstanding Summer Workshop Delegate in 2008.  During her presidency, Sarah planned and ran the first mini-THON in her school - an event that continues to be successful year after year; in 2010 it raised $19,000. She also worked to establish the broadcasting of announcements in her school and new service activities to benefit her community. Sarah has been a presenter at state and district conferences, and she truly enjoy teaching others about leadership.

  • Future Business Leaders of America (won 4th place in Public Speaking in PA)
  • Team America Rocket Challenge participant
  • Editor-in-Chief of her high school newspaper
  • Morning announcements broadcaster for two years
  • #1 Varsity Tennis
  • Volunteer as a tennis and soccer coach
  • Enjoys reading, kayaking, skiing, traveling, playing sports

At the 2010 Region 2 Conference in Ocean City, New Jersey, Sarah was selected to serve a two year term as our Region 2 Student Liaison. Her tenure in this position, which does not have a seat on the NASC Advisory Council, will last from 2010-2012. She looks forward to visiting events in each state of Region 2 during her term.
